Field Assistant
Ideal Experience: 0 - 2 years
Full-Time Positions Available
This is a perfect job for anyone looking to enter the trades with little to no experience. You'll be taught the basics of workplace etiquette, communication skills, and workplace safety. You'll assist technicians on job sites by running for tools and materials, being an extra set of hands, and, when you're ready, performing minor tasks under a seasoned technician's guidance and supervision. All this is in an effort to prepare you for your start as an official apprentice.
Generally, assistants are moved up to apprentice between 6 and 12 months.
Field Apprentice
Ideal Experience: 1 - 5 years
Full-Time Positions Available
All technicians at Greene's Plumbing must have formal education and/or training in the trades. Our apprenticeship programs are offered through the Ohio PHCC and Mike Holt Enterprise, both recognized by the State of Ohio. All educational courses are taken in an online format and designed to supplement your on-the-job training. These programs last 4 years, and pay raises are given regularly throughout the four years as you grow in knowledge and competency. Apprentices are given benchmarks for each year and will "Level Up" as they work through the 5 levels of apprentice.
In the field, you will assist journeyman and lead technicians on job sites while also being given more opportunities to grow and learn as a skilled tradesman. Our goal is for you to be the best, so your training will be thorough. As you improve, you'll be given more and more opportunities to prove independence and capability while having a team to support you and answer your questions.
Generally, apprentices are hired in with 1.5 to 3 years of experience.

Field Journeyman
Ideal Experience: 5+ years
Full-Time Positions Available
Journeyman at Greene's are expected to have a sound knowledge of the trades and associated codes for the state of Ohio. This may be Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical, depending on their background. We expect journeyman to understand the theory and science behind their trade specialization and to approach their work with a positive attitude. Journeyman should be capable of completing jobs independently, as well as working with and directing others. Technicians should be friendly and personable, displaying good character and ensuring customers are comfortable.
Most of all, Journeyman must exemplify our 5 core values: Compassion, Quality, Professionalism, Honesty, and Joy.
Generally, journeyman are hired in with 7-10 years of experience.
Office Assistant
Ideal Experience: Any
Part-Time Positions Available
An office assistant position at Greene's is geared toward the applicants strengths and interests. Their main purpose is to alleviate some of the work load for the office manager. This is done by answering and making phone calls, scheduling social media posts, taking pictures of job sites, submitting purchase orders, sending invoices, filing, cleaning, etc. These tasks do not require a degree, but if requested, can be geared toward a specific area of study should the applicant be a student with a need for applicable job experience (you may consider this an entry-level position).
Assistants generally come in on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, though this schedule can be adjusted to accommodate a student schedule.
