They have been designed to give our loyal and returning customers added benefits, while providing regular and convenient home maintenance. What Is A Dual Fuel HVAC System?
Dual Fuel Systems use an electric Heat Pump to heat and cool the home. The Heat Pump will be the sole source of air conditioning for your home. A gas-powered furnace is used as a back up heat source, which only kicks on during a power-outage or if the outside temperature is so cold the Heat Pump cannot keep up. You will only ever be using one heat source at a time, with the Heat Pump as your primary unit, and the Furnace as your secondary.
Why Go Dual Fuel?
The main reason for going dual fuel is high efficiency. This option will save you money in the long run because the electric Heat Pump is extremely efficient. The Furnace only kicks on when it is needed, so Dual Fuel Systems also cut down on gas usage. With Dual Fuel, you will experience the savings of an efficient electric system, with the added reliability of gas-powered heat.
