Well System Services
Well Pumps & Pressure Tanks
If you do not have city water, then you probably have a well system. Ground-source well water allows you to tap into the water table and supply your home with naturally sourced water. This system uses a well pump and water lines to deliver the water from the ground to your home, and then a pressure tank to allow for decent water pressure in your home as well. If you need a well pump or pressure tank repaired, replaced, or installed, our team is ready help!

Greene's does not drill wells, but we do install all the equipment needed for the well system: Well Pumps, Jet Pumps, Pressure Tanks, and the respective plumbing needed to make the well work properly. We are certified with the state of Ohio to install, service, and repair well systems. ​
Well Pumps

Well Pumps can be submersible or non-submersible. A submersible pump sits in the well, while a non-submersible, usually a jet pump, sits outside the top of the well. These pumps push or pull the water up from the ground to your home.
If they begin to fail, you'll notice a lack of water pressure in your home. Grinding or clicking is also a sign your pump may need some attention. Without a well pump, the rest of your system cannot continue providing your home with water.

Pressure Tanks
Pressure Tanks are located inside the home and build pressure behind the water so your home has water pressure. If your whole house lacks water pressure, this section of the well system is probably the culprit. Check the pressure gauge on the tank and be sure to let your contractor know what it's reading when you call.

It's also important to understand that there are many parts that make a pressure tank work correctly. You're pressure tank does not always need replaced just because you lost pressure. Our technicians will look at all the components to determine which parts are not working correctly. Replacement is reserved for when repairs would cost more than the pressure tank is worth, or when you as the homeowner decide that is the route you'd prefer.
